HVAC Technician

Position Summary

Core Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on tools, equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts.
• Complete painting, drywall, wood trim, light bulb, air-conditioning filter, landscaping, and sprinkler repairs.
• Program televisions, enter air-handler schedules, make temperature changes, and complete engineering-related inventory duties.
• Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance work and follow safety, security, flammable-material, and company procedures.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, maintain professional communication, and support positive working relationships.

Required Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Basic knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building maintenance.
• No supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance and exterior or interior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.

Schedule and Work Setting

• The position is full time and not remote.
• The work requires physical activity including lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders.
