About the Role

Responsibilities
- Install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems
- Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems
- Maintain preventively all air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Check performance of refrigeration systems and components
- Verify door closing systems on walk in coolers/freezers
- Check and maintain defrosting systems and automation of ice makers
- Work on maintenance requests from all departments
- Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air handling unit filters
- Check performance of air conditioning and chill water systems
- Cooperate with engineering colleagues in detection of failures
- Control venting of CFCs to atmosphere
- Overhaul air condition/refrigeration equipment and systems
Requirements
- Appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute
- One year operating experience in a hotel engineering department
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- VRF/VRV system experience is a plus
