Position Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems across commercial high-rise properties.
Support tenant comfort, system efficiency, and operational reliability in a complex vertical environment.
Employment and Work Location
- The position is full-time and permanent.
- Work location is in person.
Operations and Maintenance
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
- Maintain chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAV boxes, and VRF/VRV systems.
- Inspect mechanical rooms, risers, and plant areas and report abnormalities.
- Monitor and optimize BAS and EMS setpoints for energy efficiency.
Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose faults involving refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, sensors, compressors, pumps, and airflow.
- Respond to tenant service requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Perform refrigerant leak testing, recovery, charging, and brazing in compliance with EPA regulations.
Customer Service and Coordination
- Provide professional service to tenants and stakeholders and communicate work order status.
- Own work orders from initiation to completion using a CMMS.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and facilities staff on upgrades, repairs, and commissioning.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Maintain clean and safe mechanical spaces.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience is required.
- Proven high-rise building experience is mandatory.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A technical HVAC, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering certificate or diploma is strongly preferred.
Certifications and Technical Skills
- Valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification is required.
- OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC, chilled water, VRF/VRV, and DDC or pneumatic controls is required.
- Experience with diagnostic tools, technical drawings, BAS, and CMMS platforms is required or highly desired.
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and a strong customer service orientation are required.
- Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to work under pressure are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision is required.
Compensation
- Pay is listed as up to QAR 1.00 per month.
