About the job

IDOM is hiring an HVAC Design Engineer for its Global Engineering Unit in its Bangalore offices.

The role supports national and international projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The employer is hiring skilled professionals at multiple levels with four to fifteen years of experience.

HVAC engineering work

  • Perform HVAC design calculations including thermal load simulation, duct sizing, duct layout design, equipment datasheets, and electrical power estimation.
  • Define ducting systems in compliance with SMACNA and ASHRAE guidelines.
  • Review ducting drawings prepared by others in 2D and 3D environments.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards and international industry standards such as ASHRAE.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables for industrial medium and large-scale projects.

Collaboration and delivery

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Work independently with technical rigor and an innovative spirit.
  • Contribute to projects in sectors including power plants, oil and gas facilities, steel mills, and manufacturing plants.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Four to fifteen years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with HAP software for load calculations.
  • Prior experience in international design engineering consulting companies.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Eagerness to learn in a multinational firm.
