Humanities Instructor – General Studies

Requirements

• Essential:
• Holds qualified teacher status or a relevant education and training qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., MA, BA, Diploma, or equivalent) in a Humanities subject or a related field.
• Relevant experience teaching Humanities subjects to international students in a range of contexts.
• Knowledge and experience teaching Qatar History, Human Rights, Islamic Culture, or Social Studies.
• Demonstrable soft skills across a multi-disciplinary department.
• Ability to use a range of teaching and administrative technologies.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Desirable:
• 1. Experience within a military setting.
• 2. Teaching experience in the Middle East.
• 3. Arabic language.
• 4. In addition to the primary teaching specialism, Instructors may be required to support the delivery, development, assessment, verification, and administration of other subject areas, programmes, or training activities within the organisation as directed by the Customer, Line Manager, Head of Department, or Head of the Organisation. Such responsibilities will be allocated based on the Instructors/Lecturers qualifications, professional experience, industry background, demonstrated competence, and previous teaching or training experience. Where appropriate, Instructors/Lecturers may be provided with internal training, mentoring, professional development, or familiarisation activities to enable them to undertake additional teaching and training responsibilities effectively.
