About the Role
Sameer Almarzouki Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs across project sites in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international HSE standards
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and contractors
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety requirements on site
- Maintain HSE records, reports, statistics, and documentation
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives and participate in emergency response drills
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on all HSE related matters
- Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in HSE roles within engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent
- Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced project environment
