HSE Officer responsible for ensuring a secure working environment and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
The role requires knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the marine industry.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor safety procedures and protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain safety documentation and records.
- Collaborate with management to improve safety policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Minimum requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a safety-related role in the marine industry.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Occupational Health and Safety certification such as NEBOSH or OSHA is preferred.
- Knowledge of maritime safety standards and practices is advantageous.
