Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in the Department

Functions

  • Act as employees’ representative for HSE issues in respective departments
  • / divisions and bring it to the notice of BL manager/ QHSE manager.
  • Attend QHSE Committee meetings regularly.
  • Participate in revision of any local documents which are part of HSE management system.
  • Focal point of Business Line Managers for implementation of HSEMS requirements.

Department.

• Document Training Records

  • Compile and submit the original certificates to HR and provide scanned copies of Safety related Certificates to the QHSE Manager
  • Identify all health, safety risks and environmental impacts in consultation with colleagues / employees and the management of these risks and impacts within his/her respective Department.
  • Keep the QHSE team updated about any changes in HSE risk register for any elements from his/her respective Department and reference to any associated control measures and procedures.
  • Communicate the overall performance of the Department to QHSE Manager and the Business Line Manager for HSE issues.
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance of his/her Department on all HSE procedures.
  • Recording and documenting HSE related incidents/accidents within his/her Department in appropriate tools.
  • Being aware of all matters relating to HSE System.
  • Define HSE training needs to all employees under his/her Department.
  • Participates in the Investigation of accident, work related illnesses and serious safety and health related incidents.
  • Preparing the department for internal/external audits.
  • Any other assignment / work given by the management related to HSE
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) aligned with HSE requirements
  • Document all quality policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ensure the QMS is effectively communicated throughout the organization.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure system functions as per the HSE requirements Conduct safety walks to ensure regulation compliance
  • Prepare for and coordinate external HSE audits and assessments
  • Maintain audit records and documentation.
  • Non-Conformity Management
  • Establish procedures for identifying, reporting, and managing non- conformities
  • Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions Track and monitor effectiveness of corrective measures
  • Risk Management
  • Identify and assess risks to daily operations Develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and review risk management effectiveness

• Supplier & External Provider Management

  • Evaluate and assist with the approvals of supplier and external workers management
  • Maintain supplier performance records.
  • Ensure outsourced activities meet HSE standards.

  • Communicate HSE requirements to all departments Liaise with management, staff, and external bodies Prepare HSE communications and presentations.

Requirements

  • Authorized to stop work if condition, situation, environment…etc. is not safe to perform the activity (immediately inform to reporting person in the department for further guidance, if this authority is used).

  • Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group/ BV Dubai HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/ QHSE Manager
  • Report immediately to QHSE Manager and Business Line Manager any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
  • Report immediately to QHSE Manager and Business Line Manager any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
  • Near Miss reporting as well as taking action whenever any unsafe act or condition is observed.
