Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely advice and guidance on Health, Safety and Environment matters.
  • Support a team of engineers in delivery of Wood EPCM projects.
  • Provide visibility and interface of the HSE function.
  • Contribute to development of HSE Assurance Plan and deliver high risk audits.
  • Advise site management on Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements.
  • Develop, deliver, implement and maintain Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures.
  • Prepare safety and environmental reports.
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections.
  • Prepare and deliver training courses / toolbox talks.
  • Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports.
  • Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors.
  • Assist site management in periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training.

Expected Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related.
  • 6+ years experience in HSE.
  • Solid understanding of organizational change.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Worked exclusively at site location.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to engage with senior leadership.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Resilient with ability to work with challenging stakeholders.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, documenting future state business processes and change impacts.
