Role Overview
A European manufacturer is building an India shared-services centre, and Flexiple is hiring the HR Manager to establish its HR function.
The centre will grow from approximately 80 to more than 250 people across finance, engineering support, and customer service.
The role will design the HR operating model rather than simply administer an existing one.
What the Team Is Building
- Build onboarding and induction for office staff and shift-based plant liaisons.
- Create a performance and rewards framework aligned with the parent company's global structure and Indian benchmarks.
- Establish scalable HR service delivery for queries, documentation, and employee letters.
How the Work Happens
- Draft the leave policy, travel policy, and exit process from close to nothing.
- Work with the global HR director in Europe on matters requiring headquarters sign-off.
- Work with local labour law counsel on matters that do not require headquarters sign-off.
Candidate Profile
- Six to nine years of HR generalist experience is required.
- At least one experience building an HR function rather than inheriting one is required.
- Manufacturing, shared-services, or GCC experience is preferred.
- Comfort with English and Hindi is expected for the plant-adjacent stakeholder group.
- Additional regional language ability is a bonus.
Workplace
- The role is based in Pune or Chennai because of proximity to the manufacturing footprint.
- Remote work from India is workable for a candidate willing to travel to the site every few weeks.
Selection Process
- The process includes an initial HR conversation, a policy-design task, discussions with plant and functional stakeholders, and a final fit conversation.
