Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned public areas according to hotel standards
- Replace bed linens, towels, and guest amenities while ensuring rooms are fully stocked
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and readiness before guest arrival
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests for extra towels, amenities, or housekeeping services
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures
- Operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Follow hotel health, hygiene, and safety policies while providing friendly and courteous service to guests
- Work closely with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are available on time and meet quality standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic English communication skills
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
