Role Overview
The Hostess is responsible for creating a positive guest experience while maintaining outlet quality standards and supervising outlet staff.
The role supports guest reception, reservations, seating flow, revenue opportunities and service operations at Two Birds One Stone.
Essential Functions
- Project a pleasant and professional image to all guests.
- Manage cultural needs and expectations and support additional revenue opportunities.
- Maintain billing procedures and attend each shift punctually.
- Control seating flow through station rotation, guest lists and check issue procedures.
- Present menus and provide information to guests.
- Handle reservations, incoming calls and guest special requests.
- Assign and supervise opening and closing side duties and station setups.
- Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to designated personnel.
- Maintain guest and group profiles and preferences.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, outlet operations, menus, wines, layouts and dress code.
Knowledge and Skills
- Speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language.
- Use clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Understand hotel food and beverage operations, food and alcoholic beverages, and basic computations.
