Role Overview
The employer is seeking an Automation Engineer or Robotics Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and optimize automated systems and robotic solutions.
The role is full-time and described as mid-level, with work focused on productivity, precision, safety, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated production systems, robotic cells, and industrial automation solutions.
- Program and configure industrial robots, PLCs, motion-control systems, sensors, and automated equipment.
- Develop robotic applications for material handling, assembly, inspection, packaging, welding, and other industrial processes.
- Integrate robots with conveyors, vision systems, sensors, actuators, safety devices, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and modify PLC programs, control logic, HMI interfaces, and machine sequences.
- Configure industrial communication protocols and networks for automation systems.
- Perform system integration, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of automated equipment.
- Conduct robot teaching, calibration, positioning, path optimization, and cycle-time improvements.
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, costs, cycle times, and variability.
- Prepare layouts, electrical and control concepts, technical specifications, and automation documentation.
- Support installation, acceptance testing, production ramp-up, preventive maintenance, training, and operational support.
