Role Overview
The role develops, implements, maintains, and optimizes product testing processes, test systems, and test programs.
The Test Engineer works with Manufacturing, Quality, Process, Product Development, R&D, and Equipment Engineering teams.
The position supports reliable test solutions, yield and productivity improvement, failure reduction, and successful product introduction.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare test plans, procedures, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Design, qualify, and optimize automated or semi-automated test systems and fixtures.
- Install, configure, validate, calibrate, and maintain test equipment.
- Execute functional, electrical, performance, reliability, and product validation testing.
- Analyze test data, yield trends, equipment logs, and failure patterns.
- Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, corrective actions, and test-process optimization.
Engineering Support
- Support NPI, product transfers, engineering changes, and manufacturing ramp-up.
- Maintain test fixtures, hardware, software, schematics, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
