Completion of an Electrical Engineering Technology program, Electrical Apprenticeship, Journeyperson Electrician certification, or an equivalent electrical trade qualification
Minimum 2 years of experience working with medium and high-voltage electrical systems
Experience performing testing, maintenance, commissioning, or repair of substation and industrial electrical equipment is preferred
Working knowledge of switchgear, circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, protective relays, and associated electrical apparatus
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, protection and control drawings, and single-line diagrams
Experience using electrical testing equipment including insulation resistance testers, relay test sets, transformer test equipment, and other diagnostic tools
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry standards and safe work practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with digital field reporting software is considered an asset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment
Valid Class G Driver's License with the ability to travel throughout Northwestern Ontario and work at client sites as required
