A client in Abu Dhabi seeks a Consultant Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgeon to manage complex HPB conditions including tumors and biliary diseases. The role involves advanced open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries, multidisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities
- Surgical management of complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions including hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic tumors, biliary tract diseases, liver metastases, gallbladder malignancies, pancreatic cystic lesions, and complex benign HPB disorders
- Perform advanced open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures including liver resections, pancreatic resections, biliary reconstruction, minimally invasive hepatobiliary procedures, and robotic pancreatic surgeries
- Conduct comprehensive pre operative assessments, multidisciplinary treatment planning, and perioperative management
- Work closely with gastroenterologists, medical oncologists, interventional radiologists, hepatologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary tumor boards
- Lead and contribute to development of robotic surgery pathways, enhanced recovery protocols, and evidence based HPB clinical programs
- Participate in tumor boards, morbidity and mortality meetings, quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities, and accreditation processes
- Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, fellows, and operating theatre teams while contributing to academic teaching, research, and CME programs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Department of Health regulations and hospital policies

Overview
- The Consultant will be responsible for the surgical management of complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions including hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic tumors, biliary tract diseases, liver metastases, gallbladder malignancies, pancreatic cystic lesions, and complex benign HPB disorders.
Responsibilities

- Work closely with gastroenterologists, medical oncologists, interventional radiologists, hepatologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
- Lead and contribute to the development of robotic surgery pathways, enhanced recovery protocols, and evidence based HPB clinical programs.
