How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • The responsibilities of ALGH helium operations & Supply Chain team include the transport on road and sea freight segments between the sources and affiliates, the performance of specific services in Logistic and Technical platforms, the purchase and maintenance of ISO containers, daily communication
  • Helium is mainly sourced from the USA, Qatar, Algeria. Export Business represents about 70% of the deliveries to Worldwide Air Liquide Customers.
  • Helium is transported from primary sources to Customers Ports in high value Vacuum insulated Cryogenics ISO containers (40ft), transporting Helium at 269 degrees Celsius.
  • Helium containers are shipped on maritime routes from Helium Sources to AL Customers and returned back to the Sources.

Customer Service and Sales Administration

  • Collect and process Helium delivery orders from the AL Affiliates
  • Record Affiliate orders in the Transport system (Orchestra) and maintain up to date all information related to order, transport and invoices
  • Ensure minimum of 96% On Time delivery of Helium Containers to Affiliates’ Place of Destination
  • Clear and accurate communication to Affiliate to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure timely reception of Affiliate forecast / Confirmed orders to plan overall logistics activities ahead of time
  • Organize efficient contingency plan in case of delivery disruption
  • Timely invoicing of Helium deliveries following company price policy
  • Prepare and share set of export documentation for Affiliate to clear container at their place of Destination
  • Daily monitoring of container Pressure and Level parameters for the containers in transit until collection by the affiliates from port
  • Daily monitoring of Containers immobilized at Affiliate’s locations and coordinating with affiliates and forwarding agents to ensure timely return of containers. Monthly preparation of Container rental Invoices.

Freight Booking for Export/Import (Full/Empty Containers) from/to Helium sources

  • Coordination with Forwarding Agent or shipping lines for vessel booking from Sources to meet with Affiliates’ requested delivery date
  • Actively identify and scour new opportunities for shipping faster while enhancing reliability of lines
  • Manage lead times for assigned lanes and investigate delays to ensure timely flow of the shipments
  • Daily Coordination with Helium Sourcing planner to ensure timely filling of allocated Containers
  • Daily recording of transport information (Vessel, Voyage, Shipping line, Cutoff, ETD, ETA, ATD, ATA, Ports..) in our tracking system and associated reporting tools in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring of arrival of empty containers at Jebel Ali and Hamad and any other sourcing ports applicable to ensure empty release / Import documentation is received from forwarding agent within the KPI

Safety Monitoring of Helium pressure increase in containers in transit

  • Ensure Containers are duly loaded on vessel and track their location using online tools
  • Monitor status of Helium readings (Helium Pressure and Level) during transit and alert Technical team in case of abnormal situation
  • Take appropriate actions to ensure the shipment will occur in the best conditions of safety

Compliance with rules and regulations related to transport of dangerous goods

  • Local and international regulations regarding transport of dangerous goods (IMDG)
  • Air Liquide standard applicable to road transport
  • Technical considerations related to the packaging in helium containers
  • Thorough knowledge of Dubai Customs and Qatar Customs and other applicable ministries to ensure ALGH compliance with local Import/Export law

Are you a MATCH?

  • Degree (Bachelor Minimum) in International trade / Logistics / Economics
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding or Major Shipping line in operational jobs requiring high capabilities in terms of planning, personal organization, priority management
  • Knowledgeable about Export to APAC and EUROPE and local Customs requirements of the MEAI Zone
  • Flexibility to adjust to last minute information in constantly changing environment
  • Understanding of international regulations related to ground/sea freight of dangerous goods
  • Ability to elaborate and follow up Dashboard of KPIs through large amount of excel sheets
  • Knowledgeable about Transport Management System (ERPs)
