Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related faults.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Repair and replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and driveline components.
• Troubleshoot vehicle performance issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and parts usage documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and fleet management teams to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Assist in emergency breakdown repairs when required.

• Strong knowledge of heavy truck maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and workshop best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Basic English communication skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Technical certification, diploma, or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair.
