Position Overview
- The Heart of House Specialist plays a fundamental role supporting various hotel functions.
- Associates may work across departments (e.g., kitchen, food and beverage, laundry) to support cleaning.
- Tasks include preparing clean linens and dishes, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, and transporting linens and dishes throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cleaning functions across hotel departments such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry.
- Prepare clean linens and dishes for guest use.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dishwashers, sinks, washers, dryers).
- Transport linens and dishes throughout the hotel.
- Create a safe work environment; follow company policies and procedures; maintain quality standards.
- Ensure uniform, personal appearance, and communication are professional at all times.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Support team to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager.
- Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, twist, stretch, and stoop as needed.
