Role Description
The Head Waiter is a full-time, onsite role based in Jeddah.
The role oversees the dining floor, coordinates waitstaff, and ensures prompt, courteous, and accurate guest service.
Service Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests, manage table assignments and reservations, and supervise order taking and food delivery.
- Resolve service issues professionally and monitor guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to support smooth communication and service timing.
- Check table settings and cleanliness and assist with menu explanations and recommendations.
- Support training and coaching on service standards and help maintain health, safety, and hygiene compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and time-management skills are required.
- Experience in food and beverage operations, table service, menu knowledge, kitchen coordination, and basic cooking processes is required.
- Previous supervisory or lead waiter experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting is required.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is required; formal training or certification is advantageous.
- English proficiency is required, while Arabic language skills are an asset.
- Professionalism, reliability, and collaboration within diverse teams are expected.
