Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Head Of Supermarket Operations & Expansion
to lead our supermarket business from concept to multi-branch operations.
The ideal candidate will have a
proven track record in FMCG, grocery, or hypermarket retail
, with expertise in store setup, supplier management, operational excellence, and expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the
- supermarket business strategy,
- including store format, category mix, and customer journey.
- Lead the
- setup and launch
- of new supermarket locations from scratch, including store layout, stock management, and back-office operations.
- Build and manage
- supplier networks
- , negotiate terms, and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee
- daily operations,
- ensuring compliance with SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and profitability.
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance of store teams across multiple branches.
- Ensure consistency in
- brand standards, customer experience, and operational excellence
- across all locations.
- Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational optimization.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in
- supermarket, grocery, hypermarket, or FMCG retail chains
- .
- Proven experience in
- multi-store operations and expansion
- .
- Strong background in
- supply chain, vendor management, and FMCG sourcing
- .
- Excellent leadership, operational, and strategic planning skills.
- Arabic & English fluency required.
