Role Overview
Etqan Global Academy in Doha is seeking a Head of Secondary to provide visionary leadership across its secondary school.
The school is an IB World School offering the IB Middle Years Programme and seeks to promote academic excellence and international-mindedness.
The Role
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the secondary school in line with the IB MYP philosophy and school strategic plan.
- Champion high-quality, concept-driven and inquiry-based teaching and learning across the secondary school.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing secondary teaching team through coaching, appraisal and continuing professional development.
- Drive whole-school improvement through monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and self-review processes.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents and the wider school community.
- Collaborate with the Principal, MYP Coordinator and senior leadership team to deliver the School Improvement Plan.
- Ensure excellent student welfare, pastoral care and wellbeing across the secondary school.
- Oversee timetabling, curriculum planning and academic reporting for the secondary school.
- Promote student agency, the IB learner profile and international-mindedness across all year groups.
