Etqan Global Academy is recruiting a DP Mathematics Teacher specializing in Applications and Interpretation.
The teacher will deliver IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at Standard Level and/or Higher Level in Doha.
The school offers the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme.
The Role
- Plan and deliver outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons aligned with IB curriculum and examination expectations.
- Develop mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology.
- Manage the Mathematical Exploration Internal Assessment process and provide structured student guidance and feedback.
- Prepare students for IB external examinations through rigorous, data-informed teaching.
- Differentiate instruction for all learners, including students with additional needs or EAL.
- Teach MYP Mathematics where timetabled and maintain inquiry-based approaches.
- Contribute to the Mathematics department and the wider life of the academy.
Candidate Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification is required.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline is required.
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics is required, ideally in Applications and Interpretation.
- Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation is required.
- Effective use of graphing display calculators, mathematical software, and technology is required.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills are required.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing is required.
- IB DP Mathematics workshop training and international school experience are desirable.
