About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead and scale Huru's operational functions as we continue to grow our fintech platform.
  • This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building world class operational excellence across customer operations, payment operations, card operations, onboarding, compliance operations, and business process management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee end to end operational functions across the organization.
  • Build and scale operational processes that support business growth while maintaining exceptional customer experience.
  • Own customer operations, payment operations, card operations, remittance operations, WPS operations, onboarding, KYC/KYB, and back office functions.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, SOPs, governance frameworks, and internal controls.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs, SLAs, productivity metrics, quality standards, and service performance.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives through automation, process optimization, and technology adoption.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to improve operational workflows and eliminate manual processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, AML, and Legal teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Lead operational incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, payment providers, vendors, and third party service providers.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high performing operations teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Present operational performance, strategic initiatives, risks, and improvement plans to executive leadership.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations leadership within fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
  • Proven experience managing large scale operational teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of payment operations, card issuing, remittances, digital banking, KYC/KYB, onboarding, customer operations, and financial services processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable operating models and operational governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
  • Experience driving operational transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a CBUAE regulated financial institution or other regulated fintech environment.
  • Strong understanding of UAE payments ecosystem, WPS, payroll, domestic and international remittances, card issuing, and digital wallets.
  • Experience managing operational risk and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or other operational excellence methodologies is an advantage.
  • Experience implementing workflow automation and operational technology platforms.
