Role Overview
A leading bank is hiring a Head of Islamic Finance to lead its Islamic Window.
The role is senior and high visibility, reports to the CFO, and owns financial integrity, segregation from conventional operations, and Sharia-aligned financial management.
The role is based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with relocation support for local and international candidates.
What You Will Own
- Lead financial integrity, segregation, and regulatory reporting for the Islamic Window.
- Manage profit distribution, investment pool performance, and equalisation mechanisms including PER and IRR.
- Lead accounting and treasury operations for the Islamic Finance business unit and a growing team.
- Coordinate with Sharia governance functions and regulators.
What We Are Looking For
- Seven to ten or more years of finance experience with a strong Islamic Banking or Islamic Finance background.
- Deep command of IFRS and AAOIFI standards.
- Experience with Sharia-compliant product structuring involving Murabaha, Ijara, and Istisna'a.
- Experience with depositor profit mechanisms.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA.
- Islamic finance certification is a plus.
