Responsibilities
- Develop AI generated refinements to K–12 subject specific learning experiences
- Design data driven academic interventions for underperforming students based on MAP, AP, SAT, ISEE metrics
- Create student performance decision records with evidence supported decisions
- Produce learning ecosystem improvement specs for product, engineering, and data science teams
- Lead a team evaluated against explicit benchmarks tied to MAP, AP, SAT, and ISEE performance
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in academic or EdTech leadership roles with direct people management responsibility
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools as part of day to day professional workflows
- Strong understanding of learning science principles such as Cognitive Load Theory and Mayer's Multimedia Principles
- Willingness to rely on AI extensively to improve academic and operational outcomes

Role Overview

What You Will Be Doing
- Learning Ecosystem Enhancements — AI generated refinements to K–12 subject specific learning experiences.
- Data Driven Academic Interventions — Focused intervention strategies for underperforming students or groups.
- Student Performance Decision Records — Replicable, evidence backed decisions documented with dashboards, analytics, etc.
- Learning Ecosystem Improvement Specs — Actionable specifications for product, engineering, and data science initiatives.
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in academic or EdTech leadership roles with direct people management responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools as part of day to day professional workflows.
- Strong understanding of learning science principles such as Cognitive Load Theory and Mayer's Multimedia Principles.
Working with us
- Full time (40 hours per week), long term position.
- Independent contractor agreement with Crossover.
- Compensation: $100 USD/hour, equating to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours/week and 50 weeks/year.
- Payment period is weekly.
