Responsibilities
- Design academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, student motivation architecture, and application design
- Conduct academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams maintain alignment, accountability, and result delivery
- Integrate data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments
- Ensure strategic coherence through planning processes, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring
- Serve as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high stakes forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Role Overview
- 2 Hour Learning has developed a system enabling students to learn at twice the rate in two hours per day using AI driven tutoring and mastery based learning.
- This role is a directive leadership position controlling academic strategy, establishing performance standards, and representing the model globally.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable direction.
- Conducting academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics.
- Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments.

Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.

Compensation
- Full time (40 hours per week), long term position as independent contractor.
- Compensation: $200 USD/hour, equating to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours/week and 50 weeks/year.
- Payment period is weekly.
