Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Role Overview
- 2 Hour Learning seeks an academic leader to direct learning strategy across school sites, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the public advocate for an AI driven, mastery based learning model.
- This is a leadership charge: direct academic strategy, establish precise standards, surface execution shortfalls, and mentor high performing teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation architectures, and application development.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results driven.
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensuring strategic alignment via planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning at executive levels, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role); responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., teams that directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
Compensation and Work Arrangement
- Full time (40 hours per week), long term position
- Independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record
- Compensation: $200 USD/hour, equating to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year
- Payment period is weekly
