We are currently supporting one of our banking clients in the search for their new Head of Business Development and Origination within Corporate Banking.
This is a pure business development and new-to-bank origination role, focusing on mid-market clients across industries and all Emirates.
You will lead a high-performing team of 5 originators and play a pivotal role in driving the bank’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5 corporate banking originators, ensuring high performance and growth targets are met.
- Drive new-to-bank origination across the mid-market segment, across diverse industries.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand the bank’s client base.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit, product, and risk teams, to structure solutions for clients.
- Maintain deep market intelligence, identify trends, and capitalize on opportunities to grow the bank’s footprint.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or similar.
- 15+ years of experience in corporate banking, including relationship management, credit, and business origination.
- Proven track record in team management and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong local network in the mid-market segment.
- Demonstrated ability to originate new-to-bank relationships and deliver measurable business growth.
- Strong knowledge of capital allocation frameworks, risk‑adjusted return metrics, and balance‑sheet optimization.
- Strong credit structuring and analytical capabilities across corporate banking products.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
