Primary Purpose of the Job
Lead and direct project commissioning activities.
Provide guidance to Lead and Senior Commissioning Engineers, Operation Readiness Discipline Engineers, and Technicians.
Ensure safe, standardized execution from design and pre-commissioning through commissioning, start-up, and handover.
Role Responsibilities
- Align commissioning activities with QatarEnergy procedures, engineering standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure Asset Owners are fully prepared for safe, reliable, and sustainable operation and maintenance at handover.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 15 years of experience across operations, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up of onshore or offshore power generation or process facilities.
- At least 8 years of experience in a commissioning management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform under pressure.
- Experience in the Arabian Gulf region is preferred.
- Membership in a recognized engineering or project management association or institution is advantageous.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
