Process Safety Workshop Chairman

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, and Bow-Tie workshops for onshore and offshore projects
• Conduct Constructability Reviews to identify safety, execution, and operability risks during design and construction phases
• Plan and lead SIMOPS workshops, develop SIMOPS registers, and define control measures
• Review engineering documents, layouts, method statements, and procedures from an HSE and operability perspective
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and propose practical mitigation measures and ALARP solutions
• Prepare HAZID and HAZOP reports, action tracking logs, and close-out verification
• Interface with project teams, clients, EPC contractors, and operations personnel to support risk-based decision-making
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, local regulations, and client HSE requirements
• Support construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities with HSE input
• Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or a related discipline
• 15 to 20 years of relevant HSE experience
• Proven experience facilitating HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Constructability Review, ALARP, and SIMOPS workshops
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas, energy, or large infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with risk assessment techniques and safety study methodologies
• Excellent workshop facilitation, report writing, and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience working with EPC contractors and operating companies

Preferred Certifications

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma
• IOSH or equivalent HSE certifications
• HAZOP Leader certification
