- Develop and implement Species Management Plans (SMPs) for priority wildlife species
- Conduct field ecological surveys, biodiversity assessments, habitat evaluations, and ecological monitoring programs
- Prepare species conservation strategies, habitat management plans, and restoration action plans
- Prepare technical reports, ecological assessments, and management recommendations
- Support projects related to protected areas, threatened species, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem restoration
- Provide technical guidance on ecological conservation, biodiversity management, and environmental compliance requirements
- Identify, monitor, and document fauna species and their habitats
- Carry out any other duties related to the role as required by the Line Manager
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Zoology, or a related biological/ecological discipline is mandatory
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of professional experience in wildlife conservation, ecological restoration, biodiversity management, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience in preparing Species Management Plans
- Experience conducting wildlife field surveys using standard methods such as transects, camera trapping, and species monitoring
- Strong technical report writing experience is required

About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced Environmental Consultant with a strong background in biology/ecology, wildlife conservation, biodiversity management, habitat restoration, and Species Management Plans (SMPs).
- The selected candidate will support ecological assessments, species specific conservation planning, biodiversity studies, and environmental consultancy projects.
- This role is suitable for someone with strong technical field experience who can also develop into a well rounded environmental consultant.

Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Zoology, or a related biological/ecological discipline is mandatory.
- Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology, Conservation Biology, Zoology, or a related biological/ecological discipline is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of professional experience in wildlife conservation, ecological restoration, biodiversity management, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing Species Management Plans.
- Experience conducting wildlife field surveys using standard methods such as transects, camera trapping, and species monitoring.
- Experience working with protected areas, endangered species conservation programs, or ecological restoration projects.
- Environmental consultancy background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with EIA or similar environmental studies is preferred.
- Strong technical report writing experience is required.
- Scientific publications are highly desirable.
