Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with colleagues and customers.
• Execute project phases, elements, schedules, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Configure computing equipment, field systems, and servers according to change-management procedures.
• Troubleshoot system software and operating-system issues and maintain deployed-system configuration data.
• Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, resolve problems, and administer service agreements.
• Develop procedures, system reports, computer programs, data backups, and project documentation.
• Identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues, opportunities, and solutions that can improve project delivery.
• Maintain customer relationships and effective working relationships with managers, technicians, engineers, and project staff.

Skills and experience

• Experience applying technology in a harsh industrial environment.
• Good analytical skills for rapid diagnosis and strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, configuration, documentation, safety management, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers with varying levels of technical competency.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and rapidly understand technical solutions and products.
• Ability to comply with customer mine-site health and safety rules and regulations.

Educational background

• N6 with trade test, national diploma, bachelor's degree, foreign degree equivalent in engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of mining industry experience or experience in the offered role, hardware installation and maintenance, or a related occupation.
• English fluency is required; French is an added advantage.
• Previous experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.

Travel and working environment

• Work may occur in offices and customer sites, including conditions involving heights, heat, noise, and dust.
• Weekend work and travel to different sites, including sites outside the country, may be required.
• A current passport, valid driver's license, and successful background check are required.
