About the role

  • As a Guidewire Business Analyst – ClaimCenter, you will make an impact by driving strategic insurance transformation initiatives and delivering business capabilities across claims management processes.
  • You will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, quality assurance teams, claims operations partners, and business leaders to design and deliver Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and objectives.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and solution reviews.
  • Support and analyze end to end claims management processes, including FNOL, Coverage Validation, Exposures & Reserves, Payments & Recoveries, Subrogation, Litigation Management, and Fraud Investigations.
  • Define, validate, and optimize claims business rules, workflows, and operational processes while supporting Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations, enhancements, integrations, and modernization programs.

Work model

  • This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Guidewire InsuranceSuite projects, with a strong focus on Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products, claims operations, and claims lifecycle processes.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Strong understanding of claims management processes, including FNOL, Coverage Validation, Exposures & Reserves, Payments & Recoveries, Subrogation, Litigation Management, and Fraud Investigations.
  • Experience defining business rules, workflows, and process improvements within claims operations.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, architects, and QA teams in Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Guidewire ClaimCenter ACE Certification (latest Cloud release).

These will help you stand out

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
  • Experience supporting Guidewire Cloud transformations and modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire integrations and digital insurance platforms.
  • Experience working closely with claims operations, adjusters, and business leadership teams.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency.

Salary and Other Compensation

  • The annual salary for this position is between CAD 80,000 CAD 115,000 depending on experience and other qualifications.
  • This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program.
