Group Head of Accounting & Shared Services

Finance Transformation

• Lead finance transformation focused on efficiency, automation, and scalability.
• Design and implement a digital finance operating model.
• Automate Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial close management.
• Drive ERP optimization, workflow automation, finance systems enhancements, and analytics tools.
• Reduce manual processing and improve finance productivity metrics.

Audit and Governance

• Lead external audit engagements and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Coordinate audit planning, fieldwork, and statutory filing requirements.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and recommendations.
• Develop financial control environments, accounting governance frameworks, and approval matrices.
• Monitor control effectiveness, remediation actions, risk management, internal audits, and compliance reviews.

Leadership and Process Excellence

• Improve month-end close efficiency, reporting timelines, accounting procedures, and finance performance metrics.
• Lead and develop Group Accounting and Shared Services teams.
• Build a high-performance accounting organization and mentor finance managers.
• Drive capability enhancement and succession planning.
• Foster collaboration across Finance, Operations, Treasury, and FP&A.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, or CPA professional qualification is mandatory.
• At least 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• At least 7 years in a senior accounting leadership role.
• Experience leading group accounting functions in a multi-entity organization.
• Extensive IFRS, statutory reporting, consolidation, and external audit experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams of 20 or more employees.
• Experience with shared services design, finance transformation, process optimization, automation, and ERP projects.

Preferred Background

• MBA in Finance or a master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Chartered Accountant qualification from a recognized international accounting body is highly preferred.
• Big Four audit experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in automotive mobility, vehicle leasing, automotive distribution, transportation, logistics, or large regional conglomerates is preferred.

Technical Competencies

• Accounting and reporting competencies include IFRS, group consolidation, statutory reporting, financial control, technical accounting, external audit management, and internal controls.
• Finance operations competencies include Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, shared services management, process excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Systems listed include Oracle ERP, SAP S/4HANA, Hyperion or FCCS, EPM, Power BI, and Advanced Excel.
