Group Chief Accountant

Job Summary

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across multiple group entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts
• Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and working capital requirements
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE regulations, VAT, and internal financial policies
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records across all business units

Budgeting & Planning

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor budget performance and analyze variances
• Support business planning and financial strategy initiatives

Erp & Systems Management

• Lead and support financial operations through Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Ensure proper utilization and optimization of ERP financial modules
• Coordinate system improvements and reporting enhancements

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team across group entities
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is mandatory
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within luxury retail, retail, or group companies
• Strong experience in group consolidation and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, and UAE financial compliance requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing finance functions for multiple entities or business units
• Prior experience in luxury retail or lifestyle brands will be an advantage
• Experience handling audits and banking relationships
