Overview
- In your capacity as a Ground Segment Engineer, your role will continuously evolve, but initially your day-to-day duties will include:
- Own the ground segment for the project
- Define the architecture of the ground segment
- Design and develop ground segment HW and SW tools
- Ensure reliability through rigorous automated and manual testing
- Document the ground segment tools
- Procure all related HW and means for the ground segment
- Validate the ground segment performances
- Partner with testing and operations teams to understand and meet needs
- Support test procedures definition
- Support test operations
- What we would love to see from you
- 3+ years of experience in ground segment development for aerospace projects
- Experience with development and testing of user-facing software applications
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language like C#, Java, or similar
- Familiarity with aerospace telecommunication standards
- Knowledge of backup systems, storage management, and recovery procedures
- Experience with hardware integration and RF systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, networking, and application layers
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is an asset
