Company Overview
- Emirates Global Aluminium is the world's biggest premium aluminium producer and the largest industrial company in the UAE outside oil and gas.
- EGA operates aluminium smelters in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah, an alumina refinery, a bauxite mine in Guinea, and recycling plants in Germany and the US.
Program Overview
- The National Graduate Training Programme is an 18 month program to prepare graduates for first line supervisor roles.
- Preference is given to engineering graduates, but other disciplines are considered based on organizational needs.
- Each graduate trainee is assigned a mentor and regular progress reviews are held.
Training Components
- Customized development plan including on the job training, technical skills, and management/leadership competency development.
- Familiarization within the trainee's designated department for one month.
- On the job training geared towards target position for the remaining period.
