Position Summary
The Graduate Program Student Advisor oversees and manages the graduate student population, including MS and PhD students across all degree programs.
The role manages the full Student Life Cycle Management process from admission through graduation.
The advisor serves as the primary contact for academic, personal, and administrative student matters and supports student success and career transitions.
Student Support and Program Operations
- Coordinate student services and liaise with the Registrar, Admissions, Graduate Affairs, faculty advisors, instructors, and the Dean’s Office.
- Support admissions, onboarding, meetings, graduate programs, graduation, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate weekly seminars, academic presentations, external speaker and faculty candidate visits, faculty meetings, and other program activities.
- Manage entry assessment tests for incoming students and coordinate qualifying examinations.
- Assist PhD students with dissertation preparation and defense arrangements.
Data, Records, and Recruitment
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, analyze data, and prepare reports.
