  • strong>Qualifications: /strong>
  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, material science, and stress concepts.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API, ASTM, and ISO (basic knowledge acceptable at graduate level).
  • Basic proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, E3D/PDMS, Navisworks, and exposure to Caesar II or equivalent stress analysis tools (training can be provided).
  • Knowledge of piping components and systems, including valves, fittings, supports, and pressure equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, equipment layouts).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop technical competence through on the job training and mentoring.
  • Basic understanding of safety standards and engineering best practices, including awareness of constructability.
  • strong>Objectives:/strong>
  • strong>Support piping design activities/strong> by preparing isometrics, layouts, equipment nozzle orientations, and 3D model updates under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • strong>Develop technical competence/strong> by learning key industry standards (ASME, API, ISO) and applying them to daily design and calculation tasks.
  • strong>Improve software proficiency/strong> in tools such as AutoCAD, E3D/PDMS, Caesar II, and Navisworks to contribute effectively to project deliverables.
  • strong>Conduct basic piping calculations/strong> (wall thickness, branch reinforcement, pressure drop) with increasing accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • strong>Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams/strong> (Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural) to ensure alignment of piping designs with project requirements.
  • strong>Participate in model reviews and site visits/strong> to understand constructability, installation constraints, and real world engineering practices.
  • strong>Contribute to project documentation/strong> by preparing material take-offs (MTOs), line lists, and technical queries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • strong>Demonstrate continuous learning and development/strong> by completing assigned training modules, attending technical workshops, and seeking regular feedback from mentors.
