Job Description

  • The Government Relations Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for spearheading relationship building and making connections between Dataflow and Governmental entities and personnel.
  • The incumbent will work closely with the Director Government Relations and External Relations and help this global corporation to further enhance their reputation and relationship with the government to support the business and wider society.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researches and monitors government activities that could affect the organizations business and clients
  • Assists CXO’s and Marketing team with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies
  • Develop comprehensive strategies focused on the overall advocacy activities of the organization
  • Liaise with government officials and stakeholders to exchange information, prepare deliverables, and coordinate meetings
  • Arrange for round table discussions and Corporate Events with government entities
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between DataFlow group and government bodies
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and maintain governmental relationships
  • Provide insights and advice on governmental policies and regulations affecting Dataflow Group
  • Ensure Compliance with all local, regional and National regulations in KSA
  • Assist with identifying and shaping opportunities for projects in KSA that are related to Dataflow and new project ideas
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their impact on Dataflow current and future projects and contracts

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Should have at least 10 15 years experience in a mix of strategic consulting, analytical, business, government/diplomatic and Government Relations or Public Affairs roles
  • Account management experience
  • Great command of English and Arabic both verbal and written
  • Strong networks and links across government along with excellent understanding of the KSA processes
  • Good analytical skills to quickly identify how changes in policy will affect the business combined with the ability to explain complex issues in a succinct manner to colleagues and the rest of the wider team
  • Strong relationship building skills with strong interpersonal skills to present confidently and confer well with Government Personnel as well as internal colleagues
  • Able to work under pressure to tight time scales with experience of drawing up and executing Government Affairs programmes with success
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
