Job Description

  • The Government Relations Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for spearheading relationship building and making connections between Dataflow and Governmental entities and personnel. The aim of this role is to reinforce Dataflow's presence amongst government departments to advance business development and operations.
  • The incumbent will work closely with the Director Government Relations and External Relations and help this global corporation to further enhance their reputation and relationship with the government to support the business and wider society.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • - Government Research and Monitoring: Research and monitor international, national, and local government activities that could impact the organization’s business operations and its clients across various regions.
  • - Strategic Planning Support: Assist CXOs and the marketing team with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the global business landscape and industry regulations.
  • - Professional Relationship Building: Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders in federal, state, and local government entities and agencies in all operational regions.
  • - Advocacy Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive strategies focused on the organization’s overall advocacy activities, aligning with both global objectives and local market needs.
  • - Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with government officials and stakeholders to exchange information, prepare deliverables, and coordinate meetings internationally, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • - Round-table Discussions and Corporate Events: Arrange round-table discussions and corporate events with governmental entities across various jurisdictions to promote dialogue and collaboration.
  • - Government Relations and Compliance: Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and maintain relationships with government bodies while ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations in all operating countries, including KSA.
  • - Project Opportunity Identification: Assist in identifying and shaping opportunities for projects related to DataFlow and new initiatives in KSA and other international markets.
  • - Legislative Monitoring: Monitor changes in legislation across different countries and regions, advising on their potential impact on current and future DataFlow projects and contracts.
  • - Public Affairs Strategies: Develop and execute public affairs strategies that enhance the company’s reputation globally, considering cultural nuances and regional priorities.
  • - Negotiation of Agreements: Negotiate agreements for partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions. Your expertise will be pivotal in navigating complex contractual discussions across different legal systems.
  • - Facilitation of Interdependent Services: Facilitate interdependent services by identifying and communicating contact points that require streamlining in terms of policies and procedures for government engagement.
  • - Government Organization Visits: Conduct visits to various government organizations to discuss issues regarding government partnerships and to reinforce relationships.
  • - Internal Relationship Building: Build and maintain internal stakeholder relationships while closely collaborating with all divisions within DataFlow globally.
  • - Other Tasks: Perform any other responsibilities related to this role as assigned by the line manager, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.
