The Role

The People Operations Lead will be the on-the-ground owner for people, office, and administration activities for Coram AI's India office.

The position suits a resourceful, hands-on person who can establish processes in an ambiguous, growing environment.

People Operations

  • Own onboarding, documentation, performance support, offboarding, employee queries, and employee relations for India.
  • Partner with US HR leadership to adapt company policies to Indian labor law and local norms.
  • Manage performance reviews, manager coaching, documentation, PIPs, exits, employee records, and HRIS data.
  • Coordinate payroll, benefits, health insurance, leave policies, statutory compliance, filings, audits, and legal matters.
  • Support recruiting coordination, interview scheduling, offer letters, and candidate experience for India roles.

Office and Workplace Operations

  • Manage facilities, supplies, vendors, maintenance, workplace experience, budgets, expenses, and office logistics.
  • Own vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for cleaning, security, internet, catering, and equipment.
  • Manage laptops and equipment procurement, inventory tracking, and asset operations.
  • Coordinate events, team gatherings, visiting US-based team members, celebrations, wellness programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Champion company culture and internal communications across the India and US teams.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in People Operations, HR, or Office Administration, including at least two years in a management or standalone HR role.
  • Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or postgraduate HR diploma is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor and employment law, including PF, ESI, Shops and Establishment, and gratuity.
  • Hands-on office administration and vendor operations experience.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Comfort working across time zones with US-based leadership, including some US Pacific hours overlap.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, resilience, and professional handling of sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work in an onsite environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package and equity in a rapidly growing company.
  • Employer-paid medical insurance for the employee and dependents.
  • Flexible paid time off, paid holidays, and referral bonuses.
  • Latest Apple products and access to a broad technology stack.
