Key Responsibilities

  • Design, place, and manage the global insurance programme (including PI, GL, D&O, Cyber, Property, Employers’ Liability, and specialty lines).
  • Lead annual renewals, including programme structure, limits, deductibles, layering, and coverage optimisation.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across regions while accommodating local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with insurance brokers and insurers globally.
  • Lead broker tenders, performance reviews, and underwriting submissions.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements.
  • Oversee claims notification, management, and settlement in coordination with the General Counsel.
  • Monitor claims trends, loss ratios, and root causes.
  • Support implementation of loss prevention and risk mitigation measures.
  • Develop and advise on risk financing strategies (deductibles, self insured retentions, captives, alternative risk transfer where relevant).
  • Analyse insurance spend, claims experience, and programme efficiency.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting related to insurance and claims.
