Job Description

GIS Data Conversion and Quality

• Convert utilities and infrastructure as-built drawings and data into structured GIS datasets.
• Extract, transform, cleanse, and prepare data for Enterprise GIS environments.
• Ensure datasets comply with defined data models, standards, and specifications.
• Conduct validation and QA/QC and resolve spatial, attribute, topology, and connectivity issues.
• Validate network connectivity and spatial and topological rules.

Utilities and Enterprise GIS

• Work with utilities, infrastructure, and land-related GIS datasets.
• Apply spatial relationship, network structure, and topological behavior rules.
• Use ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise Geodatabases, including feature classes, relationships, domains, subtypes, topology, and network structures.
• Support reliable enterprise geodatabase development and maintenance.

Automation and Improvement

• Develop and automate GIS transformation and ETL workflows using Python, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, or FME.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion, validation, and QA/QC processes.
• Support optimization and standardization of GIS data management workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience converting utilities and infrastructure as-built data to GIS.
• Strong experience in GIS extraction, conversion, cleansing, validation, QA/QC, utilities, infrastructure, and land datasets.
• Experience with Enterprise GIS, spatial relationships, topology, network connectivity, and validation rules.
• Native Arabic and professional English proficiency are required.
• Consulting or client-facing experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, ArcGIS Pro, and Enterprise Geodatabases.
• Knowledge of enterprise geodatabase design, including feature classes, relationships, domains, subtypes, topology, and network structures.
• Python, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, or FME experience for transformation and ETL automation is preferred.
• Understanding of satellite imagery types, characteristics, applications, and major vendors is preferred.

Certifications and Soft Skills

• Esri-related GIS and professional GIS, Geomatics, or related certifications are listed.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and time-management skills are required.
• The role requires independent and collaborative work under tight deadlines.
