Role overview

Roles and responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Google Cloud architectures for enterprise workloads and cloud-native applications.
• Lead workload migrations from on-premise or other cloud platforms to Google Cloud.
• Define DevOps and platform engineering architectures, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management.
• Define rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild, and replace migration strategies.
• Design and implement secure, governed cloud landing zones.
• Architect resilient solutions using Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GKE, and Cloud Run.
• Lead application discovery, dependency mapping, and migration wave planning.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or similar tools.
• Ensure operational readiness through monitoring, logging, and reliability practices.
• Provide architecture guidance throughout migration and modernization programs.
• Support architecture workshops and technical proposal development.
• Contribute reusable architecture patterns and internal capability development.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or cloud consulting.
• Strong experience designing Google Cloud Platform solutions.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience leading enterprise workload migrations to public cloud environments.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; GKE is preferred.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and security controls.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholder presentations.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of disaster recovery, cloud services, and replication methodologies.
• Deep expertise in AD, DNS, DHCP, or ADFS infrastructure services.
• Experience with automated infrastructure discovery and application dependency mapping tools.
• Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost management, and optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, agile development, and DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with Oracle or SAP database technologies.
• Additional AWS or Azure architecture certifications.
• Knowledge of NCA, SAMA, ISO 27001, or other compliance frameworks.
• Client-facing consulting, observability, monitoring, application modernization, or containerized workload experience.
