- Structure support to facilitate UAE military technicians becoming self sufficient in Generator/Frequency Converter support activities
- Interface with manufacturers of power generation and power conversion equipment as required
Requirements
- Graduate of US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) Course or technical school/manufacturer's course on diesel power generation equipment
- Work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly, and checkout of Lechmotoren power generation equipment
- Minimum of two years of experience in repair and refurbishment of generators and working knowledge of 15kw/400hz, 30kw/400hz and 150kw/400hz diesel generators
- Experience in operation and maintenance (repair) of 150KW and 30KW Frequency Converters and experience in US Army materiel maintenance management concepts
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years related experience

Job Overview
- The Generator/Frequency Converter Technician shall be responsible for testing, proper operation and maintenance (to include repair) of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the PATRIOT MEIs.
- This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This assignment is for short term only.
What You Will Do
- The Generator/Frequency Converter Technician shall be responsible for testing, proper operation and maintenance (to include repair) of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the PATRIOT MEIs.
- Provide support for the testing, operation and maintenance (including repair) of all power generation and power conversion equipment (i.e. tactical site Frequency Converters).
- Transfer functional details and knowledge associated with each task to UAE military technicians via on the job training principles and concepts.
- Structure support to facilitate UAE military technicians in becoming self sufficient in Generator / Frequency Converter support activities.
- All actions in support of the UAE shall be in accordance with standard US Army maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures stipulated within AR 750 1.
- Interface with manufacturers of the power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Graduate of the US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) Course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on diesel power generation equipment.
- Work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly, and checkout of Lechmotoren power generation equipment.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the repair and refurbishment of generators and possess a working knowledge of the 15kw/400hz, 30kw/400hz and 150kw/400hz diesel generators.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance (repair) of 150KW and 30KW Frequency Converters and experience in the implementation / execution of standard US Army materiel maintenance management concepts and practices.

- Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
- Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check out (SICO) process.
- Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
- Exceptional judgment and decision making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
- Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
