Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Operations Engineer to improve business efficiency through problem solving, automation, and process optimization.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments, uncover operational challenges, and design solutions that create measurable impact.
  • You will combine analytical thinking, technical skills, and operational expertise to build scalable systems and improve everyday workflows.
  • Rather than only coordinating projects, you will take ownership of identifying issues, investigating root causes, and implementing practical improvements.
  • You will collaborate closely with management and operational teams in a fully remote environment where initiative and ownership are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Rotate across business areas to understand workflows, identify challenges, and uncover opportunities for optimization.
  • Investigate operational issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable processes, systems, and automation solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Build internal tools and automated workflows that reduce repetitive manual tasks.
  • Create, improve, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and efficient operations.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives from initial problem discovery through implementation and adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure new solutions are practical, effective, and successfully integrated.
  • Continuously review existing processes and recommend improvements based on data and business needs.

Requirements

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex operational challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage projects from discovery through completion.
  • Experience building automations, improving workflows, or creating scalable business processes.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort working with data and logical reasoning.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies, software tools, and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly.
  • Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and adapting to changing business priorities.
  • A builder mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands on execution.
  • Experience in operations, project management, business analysis, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
