About the Location

  • Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a global, luxury hotel management company managing over 130 hotels and resorts and 50 private residences in 47 countries.
  • Four Seasons Hotel Luxor is perched on the Nile River in Luxor, Egypt, set to open in 2027.
  • The hotel will include 187 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurant and bar outlets, a spa, fitness facility, pools, luxury retail, and meeting spaces.

The Role of General Manager

  • We currently have an opportunity for a well rounded and seasoned General Manager to join our Four Seasons Hotel Luxor opening team in Egypt.
  • Reporting into the Regional Vice President, you will take the lead in project managing the opening of this incredible property.
  • You will also be an active team player in strengthening our Four Seasons Egypt collection.
  • Our General Manager will lead the operational team in delivering consistently high service levels.
  • You will be responsible for the successful guest service delivery for the hotel and will be an active part of the local community.
  • You will provide leadership and management for all hotel personnel, establish plans of character, integrity and of quality, which results in the continued life, growth and profitability of the business.
  • Take responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of our hotel guests and employees.

Our Ideal General Manager candidate

  • A seasoned luxury hospitality leader with proven General Management experience, with hotel opening experience and the ability to manage a highly seasonal operation.
  • Experience in an urban resort or leisure destination would be highly valued.
  • You will be a dynamic and hands on operational leader with a strong passion for people development and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A natural brand and guest ambassador, you will bring the confidence to challenge the norm, think creatively, and position the hotel with an innovative and forward thinking approach.
  • As a strategic yet highly operational leader, you will have the ability to lead both pre opening and post opening budgets, manage complex projects, and establish strong operating procedures during the opening phase.
  • You will bring strong commercial and financial acumen, with a solid background in revenue strategy, yield management, and business development.
  • A deep appreciation for luxury product excellence across both Rooms and Food & Beverage is essential.
  • You will be a highly collaborative relationship builder, able to engage effectively with key stakeholders including Ownership, community leaders, travel partners, clients, and local agencies.
  • Most importantly, we are seeking a charismatic, nurturing, and inspiring leader of our team who has passion for attracting and retaining local talent.
  • As General Manager, you will be the Cultural Advocate of the Golden Rule, bringing our values to life in every employee interaction and decision.
