- Lead the company's sales and business development strategy for events, exhibitions, activations, and brand experiences
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, government, luxury, retail, and brand sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, partners, and suppliers
- Develop sales pipelines, pitch strategies, proposals, and commercial offers
- Attend client meetings, present company capabilities, and negotiate commercial terms
- Achieve revenue, gross profit, and business growth targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities within the events industry
- Oversee the full event delivery process from concept to execution
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Manage and coordinate internal teams including client servicing, creative, production, operations, logistics, and finance
- Review project budgets, cost estimates, timelines, supplier quotations, and profitability
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross functional teams to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 15 years of experience in the events industry
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong background in both sales/business development and events operations
- Proven track record of generating revenue and managing large scale events or event portfolios
- Strong UAE/GCC market knowledge and client network
- Fluency in Arabic and English

Role Overview
- We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Events to lead the overall growth, commercial performance, and operational delivery of the events business.
- The role is split between sales/business development and operations, with a strong focus on generating new business, managing key client relationships, improving profitability, and ensuring successful delivery of events, exhibitions, activations, conferences, and brand experiences.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Lead the company’s sales and business development strategy for events, exhibitions, activations, and brand experiences.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, government, luxury, retail, and brand sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, partners, and suppliers.
- Develop sales pipelines, pitch strategies, proposals, and commercial offers.
- Attend client meetings, present company capabilities, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Achieve revenue, gross profit, and business growth targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities within the events industry.
- Support the development of long term client accounts and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Delivery
- Oversee the full event delivery process from concept to execution.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate internal teams including client servicing, creative, production, operations, logistics, and finance.
- Review project budgets, cost estimates, timelines, supplier quotations, and profitability.
- Ensure strong control over project margins, supplier costs, and operational efficiency.
- Resolve escalated client, supplier, or project delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, venue requirements, and local regulations.
- Improve internal processes, reporting, project tracking, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Set department KPIs, sales targets, operational goals, and performance expectations.
- Provide guidance to senior team members and support staff development.
- Review financial performance, revenue reports, project profitability, and business forecasts.
- Work closely with senior management on strategy, budgeting, and business planning.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the events industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong background in both sales/business development and events operations.
- Proven track record of generating revenue and managing large scale events or event portfolios.
- Strong UAE/GCC market knowledge and client network.
- Experience managing corporate events, exhibitions, activations, conferences, product launches, and brand experiences.
- Strong commercial understanding, including budgeting, pricing, margins, and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast paced environment.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Existing client network in the UAE events industry is highly preferred.
Pay
- Up to AED40,000.00 per month
